Welcome, Standard 5! Standard 5 is the bridge year — it takes what you learned in
Standard 4 and gets you ready for Standard 6. Everything you need is here: your weekly lessons,
your daily Power-Ups, every graded assessment, and the tools you can reach for whenever you get stuck.
🧭
How the year is built. School weeks 1–3 are the Diagnostic and Repair block.
Teaching runs from week 4 to week 33 across four cycles — 150 lessons in all. Weeks 34–36 are
buffer for national assessments and school activities. Each card below opens one teaching week.
🔢 Cycle 1 · Numbers All Around Us · School Weeks 4–10
Twelve graded items every cycle. Three classwork checks, three take-home problem sets,
three projects and three tests — forty-eight in all across the year. Tests and marked quizzes run in
two parts: an online part and a paper part where you show your working. Both parts count as one grade.
Five questions. Ten minutes. Every day. Five minutes working on your own, then five
minutes reviewing together. Power-Ups are practice only — they are never graded and never
homework. Their job is to keep everything you have learned within reach.
Reach for these whenever you need them. Nothing here is graded and nothing is timed.
Some are reference tools you check mid-problem; others are simulations you play with until the idea clicks.
Use them in class, at home, or while revising for a test.
